About this collection

Plants that grow with their feet wet: water lily, sacred lotus, cattail, pickerelweed, papyrus, marsh marigold, and floating heart. Script italic captions carry the Latin binomials.

On deep black the lotus and lily read like night-bloomers on dark water; warm white is the same pond at morning. These suit a sunroom, the wall over a tub, or a lake house hallway, and they sit comfortably in a cottagecore scheme.

Water lily and sacred lotus are the obvious pair; add floating heart for a third.

  • Matte poster, printed on demand
  • Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
  • Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
  • Covers the whole pond, open water to muddy margin - floaters, emergents, and reeds.

As captioned on the prints

Nymphaea odorata, Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera), Pickerelweed (Pontederia cordata), Typha latifolia, Canna glauca, Caltha palustris, Eichhornia crassipes, Duck Potato (Wapato) (Sagittaria latifolia), Equisetum hyemale, Cyperus papyrus, Saururus cernuus, Myosotis scorpioides, Orontium aquaticum, Acorus calamus, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Nymphoides peltata.
