Farm store

Straight from the rows.

Nothing is going in boxes right now — the season's stock is staying here, and the paperwork that lets live goods cross a state line is still in progress. The listings below stay up so you can see what comes back. The print shop is open, and the journal is where the next opening gets announced.

Barnyard Mix Hatching Eggs

a dozen

Egyptian Walking Onion Bulbils

twenty bulbils

The onion that plants itself: each stalk sets a crown of top bulbils that bows over and walks the bed a step at a time. Press them in an inch deep in autumn or early spring and pull green onions for most of the year. Hardy to zone 3, and these came off our own rows. Not going in boxes this season — the crop is staying here to widen the rows.
