About this collection

Wading birds at full height: great blue heron, least bittern, green heron, sandhill crane, roseate spoonbill, scarlet ibis, and the limpkin, a bird most people have never met. Species are set in script italic with their Latin binomials.

Deep black reads as dusk water and sharpens the spoonbill's pink and the purple gallinule's iridescence; warm white keeps it closer to a shorebird survey. Made for a bathroom, a lake-house hallway, or the wall behind a desk.

The great blue heron is the natural first plate; hang the sandhill crane opposite if you have the height for a pair.

  • Matte poster, printed on demand
  • Six sizes, 8x10 up to 24x36 inches
  • Printed reproduction of an illustrated design - sold unframed
  • Seven herons deep - it splits the night heron from the yellowcrowned, which most heron art never bothers to do.
